Quellious, the Tranquil
Monks across Norrath pray to her. The best story about her is about a monk, too.

The path of peace
Her faithful seek enlightenment and want to help others reach it. They believe that if every creature fully understood itself and its neighbours, there would be no need for war. Theirs is an inner calm, not necessarily pacifism, and they treat knowledge as power to be shared, since “only through a shared understanding can universal peace be achieved.” Many live as nomads, always searching, hoping to find themselves along the way.
The Tranquil
Quellious is the goddess of peace, orderly good, and she accepts no discordant or evil followers. She appears as a serene child in simple robes, radiating light, and she carries no weapon. Rodcet Nife and Erollisi Marr are her allies, Rallos Zek and Innoruuk her enemies, and the Plane of Tranquility is her home.
Erudin’s peacemakers
In Erudin, away from the city centre, stands “the humble temple of Quellious where Erudin’s peacemakers… are forged.” Inside, Reklon Gnallen explains that her clerics and paladins pray together: “As the clerics are the warm hand of healing, the paladins are the stalwart shield of protection, and in times of grave need the sharp sword of justice.” The paladins’ epic blade, the Fiery Defender, was made by the goddess’s own hands and traces back to Irak Altil, an Erudite paladin who begins the quest himself: “I, in my mortal form, was a follower of Quellious.”
The Estate of Unrest
Her priests did not always read her rightly. A few years after Wilhavyn’s death, a group of them came to reclaim the estate in her name and cleanse it of evil. “This was not her wish, but they believed otherwise.” In the Butcherblock Mountains, Savil Tranquilsong still remembers the place as “a beacon for hope and worship to my goddess, and I hope to see it as such again.”
A friend to the Forsaken
Her kindness reached even an outcast god. Sympathetic to Zebuxoruk, she let his followers settle on one of her island sanctuaries in the Plane of Tranquility, the place most players remember as the gateway to the planes.
Master Wu
In the Age of Turmoil, The History of the Hand relates, Quellious took part of the Plane of Tranquility and made a demi-plane called Serenity, devoted to inner peace. She raised Master Wu the Enlightened, the only mortal of his time to reach true enlightenment, to demigod status and made him its steward.
When mortals invaded the Planes of Power, the lesser planes began to blink out to feed the greater ones, and Quellious had to take Serenity back. Wu asked for a small part of its energy, enough to make one artifact for mortals.
The Hand of Serenity
He made a five-bladed katar, each blade marked for Peace, Order, Balance and Harmony, with Tranquility at the centre. It could fan open to teach each idea or close into one stronger blade. He gave it to the monks of the Ashen Order at T’Narev, followers of Quellious, to be the teachers of the world.
Generations later, at the Battle of Defiance at the close of the Age of War, the Hand was carried into battle and struck the Avatar of War with such force that it shattered into its five blades. Each elder of the order carried one away, and only one came back to T’Narev. That elder went to Kunark to find the others and was never seen again. In the same war, The Words of the Avatar adds, Quellious called forth an Avatar of Tranquility from a mortal monk to help defend Freeport against the Rallosian menace.
Where the sources disagree
The Hand of Serenity is EverQuest II lore that reaches back into EverQuest’s history.
The Quellious–Zebuxoruk island detail is from a fan guide; we have not yet found it in an official text.
